Will a sunburn on my stretch marks make them worse?

I have stretch marks on my upper thighs. I went canoeing Saturday and got sunburned there. Will that make them worse, less likely to minimize, or have no effect at all? I had a friend who would put crazy amounts of sunblock on her legs because of her stretch marks.
