There's not much you can do short of plastic surgery. When you have a baby, the muscles and skin get stretched, and it can take some time for the muscles to recuperate - even up to a year. The skin does have some elasticity, and it should draw up. Using a cream with elastin and collagen can help the process.

Doing pilates can help restore strength to your core muscles and flatten your tummy out a bit. Walking is also a great way to burn calories, work your glutes and draws fat away from the abdomen. It's also easy, free and can be done without any special equipment - and you can take your baby along in a stroller.

The stretch marks, however, are pretty permanent. They will fade over time, and there are some creams that work to fade scars, but nothing is 100% effective. Don't get fooled into buying expensive creams - they're no better than the stuff WalMart sells.

Be realistic - your body will never again look as it did before you had the baby. That's not a bad thing - only immature girls have flat tummies and narrow hips. Do what you can to be healthy, and rejoice in your womanly figure!
