How to prevent stretch marks when working out?
FES asked:
I’ve been working out a lot more lately, like lifting weights. Stretch marks have started appearing on my arms and on my knees. I know I’m not gaining weight.
Anywho, could you give me some good ways you’ve used to make stretch marks disappear well. Or prevent them when working out.

There are different types of lotions out there that might help. I hear the ones that you can buy for pregnant women work the best… ususally with CoCoButter in them. My sister used one with CoCoButter in it when she was pregnant on her stomach and it prevented them there (she didn’t use it on her **** tho and now she has streatch marks there!!) So make sure you use it all over! Just keep your skin hydrated and it’ll stay more elastic.

there is actually products out there for the stretch marks. you will usually find them on the creams section or in the area where you find products for maternity. they use that for stretchmark in ther bellies. They really do work. this means that your skin is streaching if you are not gaining weight it should be muscle mass that is making them appear.

you may be working out too hard, I got stretch marks on my upper thighs from working out too hard on a bike, when I got done my muscles were pumped to the point of stretching my skin and I’ve had the marks ever since. just take it a little easier when working out!

Use an over the counter cream called Streach Mark. You can get it at Walgreens. It’s used mostly by PG women but works great for any one

if anyone says you can they are lying to you because you cant get rid of stretch marks when they appear they will be reddish purple lines as you lose weight they turn white and much less noticeable but you can never get rid of them so never believe anyone asking you to purchase anything that can they will take you for a ride and YES they are showing up because of rapid weight gain you may not notice because it came on quick thats why you have stretch ( and why its called just that) marks most common areas of rapid weight gain and stretch marks are the back of the knees working downward or upward…..chest ( breasts) arms ( upper) and sides of your belly and thighs your face is rarely if ever affected if you lsoe that extra weight that caused them they will be less noticeable but please do lose it before you add more which is much easier than losing it good luck we all know how hard this is ….hope i helped
NOTE weight gain need not be bad it could be muscle but it is still weight gain and your body cant handle that much that fast …..go slower

Stretch marks are so insignificant in your overall health, I wouldn’t worry about them if I were you.
